These classes are ideal for beginners and for those who want to deepen the foundation of their yoga practice. Each class focuses on supported and active asanas (poses) that increase the mobility and strength of the neck, shoulders, spine, and legs, plus those that open the chest for optimal breathing.

The ACTIVE YOGA FOR SENIORS class that meets on Monday morning is a faster paced class. It is geared toward students who have been taking Iyengar Yoga classes on a consistent basis for at least 6 months.

As the name implies, the Thursday morning GENTLE YOGA FOR SENIORS class is slower paced. Students are encouraged to work within their own limitations, using props to help them access poses safely.
